Palm Shores:  In 2018 17 Homes SOLD in our community, and 1 or 2  more might close out before the end of the year.  There are 7 homes for Sale, and 1 is under contract.  The rental is also under contract.

The market is slow right now,  it hasn’t been like this in a long time.  In the last year we have seen LESS CASH Buyers and a lot MORE FINANCING Buyers than we have in almost 10 years. Financing seems to be dominating the market, and that too is slowing, especially with rising interest rates.  The homes tend to sit longer on the market in ALL communities, not just ours!  We’re definitely seeing a lack of buyers, and the ones that are shopping, aren’t pulling the trigger so quickly…… BUT The good news is, after Thanksgiving the activity is starting to pick up again
Is the market finally settling down?

Some economic observers are pointing to 2018 as the final period in a long string of happy years of buyer demand and sales excitement for the housing industry.  If the last few months are an indication of the temperature of housing markets across the country, a period of relative calm can be expected during the last three months of the year.  A trend of market balance is emerging as we approach the end of 2018.
